flashback to the late 70s. honda, toyota, datsun developing stronger and stronger customer share based on selling well-made small cars. there is a new paradigm of sorts in transportation: an oil crisis is looming, and family size is dwindling. detroit decides to start making small cars. introduces star contenders such as the gremlin, the chevelle/chevette, later the fiesta, the lemans... detroit comes to dominate small car market? or japanese makers expand their dominance to other segments, and detroit becomes only a niche player? you decide. :-)

I think that NTAP is up for the fight. Their sales force is EMC-smart and beat them consistently, I am told.

Selling NAS is a bit "downmarket" for EMC. That is a very difficult thing for any firm to do.
