Per, It was not my intention to provide a math lesson to you, I am sure that you are more than capable in that regard. However, I maintain that taking ratio of percentages is not valid. BTW, a profit is not a percentage number, it is an absolute. I agree completely with the rest of the post. However, I would much rather be in the US of the late 90's with a booming economy and a huge trade deficit than in the US of the late 80's with a recession and low trade deficit (as consumption dropped). -BGR.
