Bre-x was the bigesst gold scam this decade. Ripped off 6 billion from investors.

Hit a High of $281, then did a forward split of 10:1

Then in March of 97 it was made public that the company may have salted the assays, Stock tumbled and was halted for a few days. When it resumed trading on the TSE it traded around $3.

On March 27th, 97 when it was announced that there was zero gold (not 70 million ounces) the stock crashed, to close at 9 cents, and was delisted forever.

It has nothing to do with real stocks.
