<-OT->Say Ed speaking of proactive CEOs,we have the CEO of BNBN participating on the thread on SI,never seen a ceo (barring some penny pushers) on SI before at least using real identity, thought that was kinda interesting. Intel, I think, also has a guy from their Investor Relations Dept over at the Intel thread.

Dell was a great stock to trade today. The positive news really helped put a floor to the price. After i finished trading, took a large position in Dell. Does Dell also have a tendency to gap up first thing in the morning? The monitoring of its recent moves tends to support that view.

Dell is finally getting to be a good stock to own. If the stock can gain momentum, the revenues will also follow. IMHO, this has been a large part of Dell's success. A positive image (in great gains in stock price) adds fuel to the sales. The sales in turn push the stock up. Compaq is the victim of the opposite effect----bad stock to bad sales to bad stock-----leading to a poor image of its computer. IMHO, IT people are affected by stock moves (maybe on a subconsious level)in making business decisions as more and more people follow the market. The reality is no one wants to be associated with a loser.

I think Dell has finally turned the corner and should pick up steam. It is good that Michael Dell has been positive in public---it should put a positive picture on the stock and revenues. Strange but sales could be helped with this image.

Ed,

You are really pompous and conceited and denigrating of others. It would be tolerable if you had anything of value to contribute to the thread.

For a guy who is supposed to be running a 100M company you seem to have a lot of idle time on your hands...and you complain about other peoples ego?!

You seem to think that 30K shares makes you big time on this thread but it is really more than an order of magnitude less than some of the people you are so interested in dis-ing. <LOL>
