hello evryone!!today i had an experience with mbt using arca to sell 1,000 cexp at 7 5/32. as i said i offered 1,000 cexp at 7 5/32 on arca. eventually, my offer was hit but only for 500 shares. the price went down again but the order was still live on arca and appearing on my level II screen offered at 7 5/32. when i was inside the market again several trades went through at 7 5/32, some in increments of 500. even though mine was first up on the offer side and had been out there for the longest time i did not get hit(even tough trades were going off for 500 shares). this happened on 2 occasions with this 500 shares of cexp that i didn't end up selling today. i am still learning the system and just would like for someone to help me out on this one if they have a minute. would i have been better off using island? should i have gone soes? of course i could have preferenced but i couldn't "see" the buyers on mylevel II screen to preference (if that makes any sense). my offer was for 500 at 7 5/32 and the bid was for 500 at 7 3/32. trades kept going off at 7 5/32 and i was unable to sell even though i was first up and time-wise my order was the oldest on the level II screen. am i missing some data???
sincerely,
