Right now what choice do you have? The new Asian phones are nice but bigger. The Startac is not as advanced, and much more costly.

Don't know how accurate this is though I think the poster has provided good information in the past. ramsey(SI)... by: everett_rcr 23315 of 23328 Figure the carrier cost of the 860 to be somewhere between $270-$300. The subsidy usually runs $150-$180 if purchased from thru the carrier. Frankly I think $99 thru USWest is too cheap. It amazes me, people will spend $100 on a pair of sneakers but scoff at the notion of spending $100 for a sophisticated FM scanner that just so happens to support two-way voice and act as an email client.
