Well, first off, you aren't throwing the books away; you rescued them from an abusive, even deadly, situation and now you're placing them in an orphanage and hoping they will be adopted by a good home. That's responsible book person behavior.

And second-"I shock you" DOES sound negative. What do you mean?

I don't know if it's "better" to figure things out, or not be able to, or to not try. I think everyone here tries very hard to think and reason, rather than just ignore what's happening within and without them. I was taking X's theory about being hardwired one way or the other from birth and wondering if you could be hardwired for belief, but not have the wires connected specifically, which left you with this sort of broad belief in "something". Whereas X says she finds herself unable to really believe in anything. ANd then I guess I was wondering if being right or left brained had anything to do with it.

I was only throwing something out--thinking- or maybe not thinking. It wasn't meant to be this big declarative statement of some universal truth. As you should know, for me life and people are endlessly entertaining, but I'm not exactly a deep thinker.
