Heart, eh? That's old news,,,that's like a model T Ford compared to the stuff they're doing now. -g-

The heart stents were the first ones, but now they're sticking stents everywhere.

The new one just mentioned is for abdominal and thoracic aorta....these vessels are the killers....repair requires opening the chest or belly (or if you're real lucky, both), and replacing the damaged vessels. With the stents, they're talking about doing it through a stick in the groin and passing the stents in place. They've been talking about these procedures for a while....it's only a matter of time before they become a real alternative to the slash and burn techniques. hehe
