sat on a bar stool for 8hours to watch the Stanley Cup at Humperdinks in the front row right by the biggest TV screen they had..

watched the whole game and was on the edge of my seat the whole time... had to wake the wife up a few times during 2nd OT... but I'll tell you what... I've been to all the Cowboy SuperBowl parties and so on...

never have I heard a group of people ERUPT in sheer, uncontrollable delight when Brett Hull scored the winning goal (toes in or not) and that was from a very eerily silent room with so many people.. all biting their nails wondering what would happen next

People cheered and roared for about 30mins nonstop....couldn't believe it.. we were jumping up and down on tables and gong nuts.. hundreds of people there til the end... though some did leave when it went to 2 OT.. tired I guess or too nervous to watch any more..

I love football.. but I think Texans were looking for a new hero after our Cowboys have spent the last few years tarnishing their image.. nice to get a new set of heroes on the block .. and ones that know what class, honor, and dignity in the name of sports still stands for.

ok.. said my peace.. howdy to all Texans and Stars fans.. welcome to the new "Dallas Stars fan club" thread-by-night and "Kimberly and Friends' Consortium" by day.. except on weekends or market holidays where we'll go back to claiming our undying devotion for the Dallas Stars hockey club..
