Radim -- Japan does not want to burn the US market to the ground -- but they will do what they are told, and they have been told to stop screwing around with the yen. This will help greatly to knock the US market on its ass long enough to cool the economy and the speculative bubble that has been building since the emergency measures taken last October to avert a crash -- that is what is meant by 'taking back the three 1/4 point rises' from last fall. The US is clearly senior partner in this relationship.
