Review of Cyberdiet..

cyberdiet.com

This is the site I bookmarked as one of the best I could find about 6 months ago. It has discussion areas, recipes, shopping list feature, articles, and a whole lot more. It also has a daily menu planner which helps you build a current day meal plan based on certain criteria--it suggests meals within your goals (ie calories, fat, fiber, etc). and you pick the meal you want and after you are done with picking the meals for the day it summarizes the nutritional info, may include a suggested recipe, and gives you the shopping list. The meal planner feature is pretty good for the average person but for those with very specific dietary goals (atheletes, diabetics, those trying to follow a specific diet) there is probably not enough detail. I did not see a feature that allows for personalized tracking over time. Overall a good site though. Rated 3 stars (best) on Infoseek.

So far, I've seen about 4 sites that have some good stuff in the ballpark of what Surequest is doing I think. Each has their strengths and weaknesses. Until they release their site for review there is nothing to compare but from what I've seen so far with the existing sites there is plenty of room for improvement, and that none quite address a market segment that is looking for ways to easily build meals that they enjoy and that can meet certain very specific criteria, ie x number of calories, protein, fat grams, etc. A couple are close though.
