Tuboscope and Newpark Resources to merge. While perusing the SI thread Market Gems I ran across a link to market rumors on www.streetadviser.com which mentioned Wednesday of a NR buyout rumor. Checked on Yahoo and found this just released. dailynews.yahoo.com Please note that I just tried the link I just posted and it wasn't working yet since the story just came out but it is available on Yahoo.

Paul, good morning. Quite a harvest of sour grapes over on the Yahoo! message board for UFAB.....whisper earnings for the quarter, as you may recall, were placed at .28 back in early June, as opposed to the -.12 we got stuck with. Most of the grumbling is from those who bought in at 10+. As for me, I'm giving my small position the fish eye for now but will add to it if UFAB dips much 8. I have a healthy respect (i.e. caution) for the wiles of Coonass management, but I don't know enough about Mr. Berard to include him in that group out of hand - yet. Still.....any company that takes 3 months past the end of the fiscal year to deliver the annual report immediately gets the antennae up, doesn't it? Has anybody heard what the status and projected activity for the Lake Charles deepwater facility? Regards and Good Luck Aggie
