Scumbria, Re: Intel has high end/server CPU sales

Until I see some real figure(your estimate), I would
say you are finding excuse to ignore Intel's excellent
performance comparing to AMD's ugly one.

The high end server market is not about saving 25% on the CPU. It's about doing reliable business with a reliable supplier with high yields. This is not a sector that goes shopping for a blue light special.

Also, in the low end consumer market the price difference between AMD and Intel systems were further magnified by the difference in quality of the other components on the system. This won't be possible in server class systems.

If it is true that the high end is a make or break situation for AMD then I'm afraid the game is almost over for AMD.
