I doubt it. Clearly, I would expect the bottleneck of your connection to remain on your dial-up to the internet, not SI's server, beta or otherwise. Now, if my Q does well and we can all afford DSL, it might be a different story.....

I use a broadband connection at work, and SI doesn't download much faster than when I use my 56K modem at home; the bottlenecks are apparently at the server end. I don't think your 28.8 modem will be a limiting factor.

I sure hope they installed an <ignore> feature so I can go back and visit the csco thread once in a while. I miss the network speak posts by the engineers, but I finally reached my limit with the bashers repetitive posts.

ntap was surprisingly strong today. Are they a long term holding for you? With their new found celebrity as an s&p component, what do you expect to see in the near term?

I agree with you; buying on dips makes sense, but I haven't been able to get into a cash position (well, 2% <g>).
