STRm according to IBD has a relative price strength of 97 as of 6/24 and is holding up rather well as opposed to others in the same business. Based on its strength and recent e-commerce venture does it make since to at least nibble here ?

Steve, I'm amazed that there is not more discussion of Softbank as an investment. With stakes in many of the leading internet cos, this company represents a foreign version of CMGI. In fact, if you look at what Son has done, he virtually has Japan (second largest economy) and the rest of Asia as his oyster at this stage in the internet evolution. If you add that positioning with his major position in America and his strategic vision of global financial services, the current share price looks like one of the real bargains. I apologize in advance if you have addressed this before.

BTW, not sure many know that Americans can invest in Softbank via Merrill Lynch's market in the shares here in the US. There is no US ADR exchange liting

steve harmon,

About two months ago I bought a company, symbol MKPL,
after they put out a press release in regards to aquiring
E-Taxi. E-Taxi is involved in the SOHO (small office,
home office) business. If the entrepreneur wishes to set
up a business, he will simply go to
emarketplace.com. The site currently offers
sites in relation to HR, Finance, Marketing and sales, and
shopping. This site is a bit crude, with the real
eMarketplace site supposedley up in summer99.
My question for you is, do you see their vision? Is the
SOHO market as big as I think, and does a new
company have a chance to compete with the big boys. At
this point, I dont see any major competition. I'm curious
what your thoughts are in regards to this companies goal
of providing the small business with the tools necessary
to succeed.

I actually posted this about 1 month ago with no response. It was addressed to the creator of the board and not to you, steve. I understand you are very busy, but I believe this stock to be a sleeper. They recently finished up their aquisition of SSPS, which generates 39 mln in revenue. Techstore adds another 3-4 mln in revenue, and this is all in the beginning stages. I read this message board frequently, as well as your newsletter. I respect your opinion on internet related stocks, and was hoping to hear what your insight was on MKPL. I understand if you are too busy, or just don't know about MKPL. If this is the case, no response necessary. However, any information you can offer will be greatly appreciated.

Thoughts on Commerce One (CMRC)? It looks to me like they are a much better play on B2B e-commerce than ARBA since they are a glorified ERP firm.

Thanks.
