Juniper Networks<JNPR.O> IPO prices above range

NEW YORK, June 24 (Reuters) - Juniper Networks <JNPR.O> priced 4.8
million shares at $34 apiece, well above the expected range, in its
initial public offering Thursday, according to lead underwriter
Goldman Sachs.

The Internet infrastructure firm raised on Wednesday the expected price
range for its initial public offering to $28 to $30 from $21 to $23.

The Mountain View, Calif.-based company, which provides high-speed
Internet routers, will enter a market with not many players and Cisco
Systems Inc.<CSCO.O> controlling 90 percent of the industry as of now.

International Data Corp. sees the worldwide gigabit and terabit speeds
Internet protocol router market growing to $1.4 billion by 2003 from
$135 million in 1998.
