REFR has been peddling the same story for a good ten years, getting nowhere, but somehow retaining its true believers. There are some fundamental flaws in the technology, IMO. Should the power to REFR's glass get cut off, the default state is opaque, not clear. So if there were a fire in a building using REFR's "smart" windows that knocked out the power, people would no longer have the outdoor light from the windows to help them escape - not very safe. Nevertheless, the company is always just on the edge of applications that will bring in big royalties, and its loyal shareholders never seem to get tired of hearing that.
