t2k,nonstick,taxman et al: This really is the limit:

WASHINGTON, June 25 (Reuters) - The U.S. Justice Department said on Friday that leaks to the press by Microsoft Corp. <MSFT.O> have hurt efforts to settle the software giant's antitrust case.

"Microsoft's repeated disclosures to the press to spin its position in settlement are a significant obstacle to making progress," said Gina Talamona, spokeswoman for the Justice Department.

I guess they are upset that MSNBC broke the story about AOL and there plans to launch Beos/Linux OS to circumvent Win98/2000. I guess the Gestapo wants the press to shut up on anything that might put this whole issue in its proper light.
