On the other hand, it is hard to see why they would have purposely bombed the Embassy, even to disrupt intelligence gathering. It is very confusing...

According to the new conspiracy theory, CIA believes Chinese Embassy has something to do with the shot-down of F-117 a few days before the bombing.

Neocon,

Here is my take on the Chinese take-out. I think
some analyst was looking over maps of possible
targets and discovered that the Chinese embassy
now occupied a former Yugoslavian goverment building.
He thought to himself "hmmm...I could sure have a
good laugh if I toss the Chinese Embassy onto the
target list". Most of these guys in the CIA and
Military hate Bill Clinton. After all, he was the
very thing they hated about the groovin 60's: the
pot-smokin, draft-dodgin guys who would seduce your
wife while you were in the jungle fighting commies.
Of course, right after it happened, Clinton said
something about how "somebody was going to get fired
over this"...later they hastily said "reassigned".
Now the CIA has a good cover story to cover the ass
of some guy who has had enough with the President who
has done more damage to national security than the
Rosenburgs.

They attacked the embassy to send a message to the Chinese.....I find that more plausible than wrong maps, etc...At the very least, the people responsible for this atrocity should have been held responsible. Have you heard of anyone losing his job over this? I don't think so...they keep trying to blame the CIA but they are not "going along"....something really smells about this.
