Hi All,

My online account (Dreyfus Brokerage, formerly Pacific Brokerage) shows GNET to be up slightly this morning and trading at half value. The # of shares has not been adjusted yet however.

What's worse is that the options symbols have changed of course, but the new symbols are not shown in the portfolio. I clicked on my old symbol and put in a test order which the system accepted! I immediately cancelled, but those unaware would actually be trading the wrong option today! (Imagine shorting the call instead of closing a long position? YIKES!)

Pointed all this out to Customer Service who said that typically, there is a block put on options and the order should not have gone through. I should've been prompted to 'call and place order directly with broker' instead of using the net. That system wasn't working for some reason. They are aware of it now and will fix it they say.

So, heads up to options traders, too. The new symbols exist, but the prices, OI, etc. are being adjusted today so might be best to watch the action carefully until it's all copacetic again. <g> Realize that your strike price, like the stock itself, has been cut in half, and the number of contracts has doubled. The symbol has changed to reflect the new strike price.

I am now wondering if they adjust the commission schedule for splits?LOL

The only stock I really need is Go2Net but other than that...
