Churchill wanted to "strangle Bolshevism in its cradle!" in the teens and 20's. He was an enemy of labour, especially after his disastrous Chancellorship (ridiculed by Keynes in his "Economic Consequences of Mr. Churchill) which almost set off class warfare in UK (the General Strike). He was an early enemy of Hitler (when he was in "the wilderness" outside of Stanley Baldwin's government). The essence of the Lady Astor -- drunk-ugly story -- is that Nancy, an M.P. led the Cliveden set of pro-Nazi near traitors. The European aristocracy's hatred of the Jews was legendary -- they especially hated the Jewish bankers (e.g. Rothschild's) which financed many European governments and had powerful influence in Germany, France and UK.
