EDIG is very hush-hush about its Sony relationship.

Well JimC1997, you know I welcome a good discussion of the issues:

There is one thing that may change "soon" to "sometime in the future:"

world.sony.com

If Memory Stick can only hold 16MB while CompactFlash is talking about 192MB and the Microdrive is at 170-340MB, then a Sony portable digital device that requires Memory Stick would be at a marketing disadvantage to any other player even with EDIG inside.

Please, correct me if I am wrong.

Well, I've know about the 20th anniversary for a while, but just decided to post it.

How could the 20th anniversary celebration be a big deal without introducing new technology?

Could that technology be something other than Memory Stick portable digital player?

Could it just be a new Minidisc player?

Could it be a walkman that you just plug into the Kiosk and download just the songs you want onto a writable CD?

I hope it is an e.Digital enhanced product, but it may not have anything to do with e.Digtal. We might have to wait until September before we read about an e.Digital/Sony product.
