Nicely put, jbe. I didn't think the discussion was technical or deep; technical and deep is literally over my head; and anyone can discuss this. I was surprised Rambi felt intimidated, because then I wondered what we were doing. "What are we doing?"

It can become laughable vaporware in just a moment, too.

One thing it's not, is "overtly" naive.

Seconded. While I enjoy science greatly and move through it like a penguin through a swimming pool full of Frozen Margarita (real lime, no salt) - I want to hold short of ... proselytizing. I want to put on record that my science-based musings are no more or less belief than some of the more ethereal theological goodies we've witnessed here and on neighboring threads.
