True, but that is a case of erroneous forecast. Since we are talking of you real interest rate in the future, we need to adjust the nominal rate by the real inflation rate in future as well. The 2-year note (not too far into the future) is around five and three quarters now. I really sometimes wonder what goes on inside the heads of bond traders ... in particular since it was about 125 basis points lower eight months back. Herd mentality then and herd mentality now ...
