I believe NT also sold their stake in JNPR with the IPO. Bay had been at work on a next-gen router at the time of the merger. When it gets down to it, I would have more faith that Bay could deliver viable gigabit/terabit router than Avici, given that Bay had the only other stable BGP implementation in the world outside CSCO and JNPR. Bet on a big fast router announcement out of NT based on Bay technology.
