Michael,

Shorting is not gambling when done correctly

gambling is very lucrative, when done correctly. Why do you think casinos ban card counters?

MSFT is yesterday's company. At 24+ times SALES, the company has zero chance of regaining its monopoly status in the new world. Do you really think that a company with $20~billion in REVENUE is worth $430 billion market cap? Let me ask you, would you invest $430 in a business that generates $20 a year in REVENUE, with a 20-30% growth rate?

It is an easy short on down trends. Speculators who used to chase MSFT are now chasing the internuts.

One should not short stocks like msft, lu, or qcom

Frankly, I think it is an insult to QCOM to be mentioned in the same light as MSFT. LU is over valued but it will probably hang in there for a while with very very little upside potential. QCOM, on the other hand ........

Oh no, I am going to get a lecture from that IBEXX again.

Ramsey

Good & Bad> (from yahoo)

Tell me your poor rational one more time(that makes no sense)There is a worldwide component shortage in
the cellular industry.Audiovox the # CDMA cell phone stated this week they are sold out of CDMA
handsets TILL THE END OF THE YEAR.They said they could sell more but can't get enough CDMA
CHIPS from QCOM or anyone else. They also said the wireless phone will replace the landline for home
usage, and the new data phones are in demand in the replacement market.Worldwide the demand is starting
a 5 year explosive growth phase!!!!!!!!
