I hope that something develops, but I urge prudent caution here. I posted this ten days ago: "No comment" interpretation (Wendy's answer to the Sony question) As much as I would like to believe that e.Digital and Sony will soon announce an agreement (and they may), a bit of caution is in order. Among other things, I handle investor relations for my firm (NYSE listed). There are other possible reasons for a person to answer "no comment" to a question like this: 1. Yes, they might have a working relationship that they are not ready to announce. 2. They are in a critical stage of negotiations and nothing is finalized. 3. They are still marketing their services to Sony and have no idea of their prospects for success. 4. They are in any of the above conditions with Sony, but are also marketing or negotiating with a competitor to Sony. 5. They were hopeful of a relationship with Sony but problems have developed which make it less likely. 6. There is no relationship or prospects for one, and e.digital has simply decided to be neutral in response to all speculative questions. Sometimes public companies arrive at this position by default because they don't want to be drawn into a series of definitive responses to questions. (e.g. Do you have a relationship with X Company? Y Company? Z Company? etc., etc.) Frankly, the "no comment" response is most appropriate for a volatile stock like EDIG and one that I would recommend to them for most inquiries about speculative subjects.
