Tier Technologies Announces Finalization of $31.7 Million Contract WALNUT CREEK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 25, 1999--Tier Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: TIER - news) today announced that it has finalized its new agreement with a governmental entity that selected the Company to upgrade its child support enforcement system. As prime vendor under the 5-year contract, which has a value of approximately $31.7 million, Tier's project responsibilities will encompass design and development of enhancements to the system as well as installation, operation and maintenance of the system. The Company announced its receipt of a Letter of Intent for this contract in a release dated April 29, 1999. Work on the project has begun. As announced June 18, 1999, Tier acquired the ownership rights to a project management system the Company will use to ensure the quality and timely delivery of its services and to monitor this project's progress.
