Hands - I like to see new posters with new ideas or comments on items previously posted. And I certainly understand how someone can get excited about an investment and want confirmation - BUT I get annoyed when I see nothing more than a copied press release on a stock that is not germain to the discussion from someone who has not been a thread participant. Once in a while, in such cases, I will click on the poster's profile to see if it is something that was spammed on a bunch of boards - and guess what - it is close to 100% of the time.

It is rather like answering the phone and hearing a jingle, then a recorded voice that says "This recorded message is very important to you..." Does anyone really keep listening?

There should really be a way for the thread creator to delete such items. JMHO, of course.
