Buyout Rumors? But of course! What else?

But who would buy? IBM, Philips (my crazy idea), Sony, Nintendo? Sun? Some Korean MegaCorp?

Any nominations for sure-fire suitor?

Let's distract the distractable from the fact that Steve has had the screws on apple leaks for over a year, and we know apple will present disinformation for various reasons.

I'm going to wait and see how long AAPL will stay near $42 1/2 before I try to buy August $42 1/2 calls for a steal. Near the money, with a little extra time left in them.

Who would want Apple and be able to afford Apple?

IBM

Microsoft (government wouldn't allow it)

AOL (iMac and AOL for $49 a month)

Sony (great consumer electronics synergy)

AT&T (Provide an iMac, local phone service, cable TV and cable Internet for $99 a month)

Disney

Dell (what a BOLD move that would be)
