Kash: <<Most tier 1 guys sell the high speed stuff.>>

Both CPQ and HP came out with boxes powered by K6-2 350. These boxes have the cheapo shared video memory stuff and sell for around $599.

These two boxes may well be the volume leader both at CPQ and HP.

So, MAYBE, there is a little truth to Jim's report.

Kash,
I just have trouble rationalizing why AMD would make 6M chips when they must have known they were only going to sell 3.7M...
Yields and bins got a lot better at the end of the quarter...so either they were stupid or they decided to keep on producin' and stockpilin'
fast chips....
Jim

<Kash - re: Intel is allegedly 1.5M short on their 26M plan for Q2.>

Kash,

How solid is this information? I am sitting on 40% profit on July INTC puts (60s and 57.5s) and trying do decide whether to hold them past the Q2 earnings report or take a profit. My estimates for Q2 are $6.8B in revenue and $.52 in profits. If I am right the stock should go into the high $40s. What do you think?

Kap.
