William -- the potential 'glut' of net IPOs does not threaten the leaders who have staked out their turf and built their brand value -- claiming the choice real estate and leaving the rest to play for the crumbs in the lesser properties -- yes? Like the old board game monopoly -- yes? AMZN is boardwalk, or something like that.

What makes me concerned is the market reaction when Salon flubbed and the leaders got whacked. The Ariba went public, did well, and the leaders threw a party and went up. As more and more net IPOs come into the market, they seem to influence the perception, as well as the total supply, of net stocks. I, by the way, believe in the value of a strong brand. Even my darkest posts on this topic always say at least AMZN has built a valuable brand -- and YHOO and AOL, although this last one seems to be getting a little erratic.
