Karma - retribution. It satisfies certain ingrained urges. But there is something about the idea of "payment" that puzzles me. Do societies without money also emphasize "payment"?

I suspect that it bothers you to think of Hitler or Ted Bundy being happy in the afterlife without having to pay for their sins, Big Time.

Edit: should Ted Bundy be raped and murdered in the afterlife? Should he be reborn as a dog that gets hit by a car? What do you wish on him?

IMHO, nothing he could ever do would repay what he did. So let him go. It's all illusion, anyway.
