AMDs semiconductor factory Fab 30 will manufacture the AMD-K7 microprocessor in Dresden. Fab 30 is the first European Fab, which uses the innovative copper technology in its production process. It is planned, in 4. To begin quarter 1999 with the production of the AMD-K7 on base of the copper technology.
The copper technology inserted from AMD into Dresden is for the first time a result of the strategic alliance with the semiconductor range from Motorola.
