give a relative view for pontential buyers to see how much
one would gain say from switching from PII 266PE to PII400.

If you look at their server/workstation benchmark where they
compare with other platforms like Sun, HP, they do publish
real numbers as that allows people to validate the numbers on
these 'competitor' platforms.
