They are thinking even their 60% growth rate is not enough and will eventually end. So they are thinking ahead. I guess I have to wait for Pat's interview to see what 3dfx has to say.

I have seen price reductions on V3. I'll need to check my prices for sure, but the OEM V3-3000 is $122 through MaLabs, compared to the V3-2000 at $110 or so. I can't remember what the retail V3-3000 is, I think about $140. This is a significant reduction from earlier prices for the V3-3000.
