Blowout Update: From the Morgan City "Daily Review": Gas Well Blowout A gas well blowout near the intersection of Bayou Chene and Bayou Boeuf forced the evacuation of Avoca Island and most of the industrial sites south of the La. 182 bridge in Amelia. At midday, the well continued to blow out of control. Hmmm....slightly different spin there. Maybe Meridian's public relations personnel could put their heads together and use them ....instead of....oh, never mind. Good luck to the folks on the rig. Aggie
