Thread, Thanks for all of the thoughtful responses. Finally, a general question for the thread. Why invest in this company? Where is the growth? Since I asked first, can I wait for your response before giving mine? :-) There is a WAR in the 3D graphics accelerator market. The leading consumer chip designers (ATI, 3dfx, S3, Intel, and NVIDIA) are competing to survive. ASPs are dropping and there should be further consolidation. The most significant method for maintaining margins is by introducing revolutionary technology. S3 and NVIDIA have just released their newest technology. 3dfx is releasing their greatest next month. This technology will be outdated in 6 months. 3dfx and NVIDIA will release the next leap in technology near the end of this year. These revolutions in technology drive revolutions in gaming. Game developers will be able to create ever more exciting products. More exciting products drive sales. More exciting products drive increasing markets. More exciting products drive increasing awareness. ELBO is at the center of this war. Regardless of the victor, they will inherit the spoils. Joel PS Any bears around here? Any comments?
