I sent an email to CNBC. I don't imagine this reporting error will be corrected, though, as they are in all likelihood, already moving on to screwing up the next story and the next set of facts.

yeah, and it's too bad that so many people just listen to CNBC "squawkbox", take it for gospel, then pull the trigger.

Like Shulman said in the interview, "sometimes it's easier to just sell than to try to understand".

My guess is that once people realize that sales estimates are *not* being revised downwards, they'll start buying back in.
