Thanks for the post.

"CKFR has long argued that consumers want to pay their bills at a bank Web site. Only banks offer real-time account balance information and complete transaction histories.

Wrong! Banks offer an account update every 24 hours. I have no knowledge of any bank offering "real-time" account balances. Brokerage accounts are the only thing that come close.

"Obviously, without bank cooperation, portal distribution does not satisfy either requirement. CKFR has turned to portal distribution out of necessity because the majority of banks have been reluctant to offer and market a quality Internet banking/bill payment product.

They're not reluctant...THEY CAN"T! Again, this report assumes too much. Banks WON'T do this because they would lose money.

*****
"For obvious reasons, CKFR's most sophisticated bank customers are displeased with CKFR's portal distribution strategy"

What's so obvious? Where did he quantify a statement like this? Quite a assumption.

"Second, we are concerned that the portal partnership will alienate the company's many bank partners. It's an opportunity for TransPoint!"

Still, with no understanding and the bad assumption that banks want to handle this service solely, you can not "alienate" anyone.

This report implies many misunderstandings of an author who thinks they have a handle on the business model. In reality, we seem to have a value oriented opinion on a high growth stock. They don't mesh and never will.
