DK I have never said I had a problem with the trend. I was only pointing it out. So the mistake is with you! It is an important trend, and it should be openly discussed. How come when the subject is raised, do we get all this confusion? I started this by welcoming everyone the the new economy. It was not me that said "we'd be all poorer". I was only quoting one of the other posters. Incidently, not everyone over 40 can be made into a "temp", or be "re-trained", or become a private consultant, or even be pushed into management. This works for many, but it is not a cure-all for the masses. We need more discussion on this important topic, not less.
