CNBC report was completely biased garbage that didn't even mention the June 4 FTC decision that found no merit to the patent challenge. I half wonder if they actually did the report a month ago and kept it on the shelf. This would be equivalent to a report on the telcom sector after Judge Green's breakup of ATT that failed to mention it. Unbelievably low standards of journalism. There are 10 analysts who follow VISX (this is another interesting story IMHO) and only 2 rate it a hold, 8 a buy or strong buy. I don't think the story will have much of an impact Mon in a negative direction. The dumb chicken little money was already shaken out of the stock on the WSJ article, which I actually respect a lot more since it least attempted to deal with the nuances of the patent challenge despite the obviousl negative spin.
