Chisy, what one know may be looked at broadly and still have utility.

I don't invest in many kinds of technology compamnies because I don't understand the technology and even if I might have some idea of what is being talked about I don't understand what developments could make something obsolete. But certain concepts in biotechnology are understandable. For example Sepracor's technology of improving existing drugs to eliminate the side effects and financing their research efforts with funds, in many cases, provided by the original discover of the drug being improved, is something understandable.

Likewise, IMO your families experience with Meningococcemia puts you ahead of the crwod in understanding both why this drug will be used/purchased by many hospitals and why a sales force will not be that important in geeting it placed.

Apparently some don't understand this, but that might be due to their lack of experience. Moving on to resistant bacteria one also sees how BPI could be a player. One does not need to be a scientist to understand the problem and the demand for a solution.

The problems caused by endotoxin and the potential for LBP and BPI are IMO also understandable. So while I understand what you mean I am not convinced it means anything complicated is out and everying simple is in. Am looking at Buca de Beepo, symbol is BUCCA. It's the new place in town and simply packed. Been there 6 times in two months. Is it a good buy? Don't know. Don't know about finances and lots of other things. Do i understand it? On one level yes, on another no.
