The fact that the new Alpha will ship on a K7 platform infrastructure helps validate that infrastructure, IMHO. Yes. Totally. We agree completely on this. However, in your original post, you seemed to use it the other way around... Here's a news flash: AMD will be selling the story that the K7 uses the same platform infrastructure that the Alpha does. You know, the technology that goes in the boxes that cost $50,000 and you trust your mission critical apps to. You can't have it both ways :) --fyodor
