From your link (regarding Chello), it appears we have:

Chello – possible IPO – who is a subsidiary of
UCOMA who is a subsidiary of
UPCOY which MSFT has a 8% stake in.

The company [Chello] is an operating company of United Pan-Europe Communications (UPC), with headquarters in Amsterdam and offices in London, Paris, Vienna, Hamburg, Brussels and Oslo. UPC completed an IPO in February 1999 and its shares are listed on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange ("UPC") and NASDAQ ("UPCOY"). UPC is a consolidated subsidiary of UnitedGlobalCom (NASDAQ:UCOMA). Microsoft Corporation has an interest of approximately 7.8% in UPC.
