"Fer sure" the carriers would be smart enough to demand a guaranteed performance clause on W-CDMA. If Ericy were unwilling to give that, or wants to limit its liability for not meeting the performance date, that would be a clear signal it's vaporware.

hint, hint--They should make sure it's in the initial equipment purchase contract, before they commit to buying non-cdma2000 base equipment.
