I think that phenomenon has now become expectation, and expectations in the stock market seldom play out.

I agree. But if the expectations are gone, there will be consequenses; and I think the consequense is Amzn $50 by Oct99.

So here is "a hope" for another e-run, and we know that if it occurs again it will be smaller and quicker. Personally, I am thinking Barbara S' attitude.."risk $20K for a $20K profit in 4 weeks"...by holding and trading 350 Amzn shares.

I know that you have a far larger stake and very different total investment package than me...so good luck and best wishes.
