OT, Frank, crooks aren't very smart. In addition to Pep, they also tried to mug Jack Dempsey in Central Park and they went after Rocky Graziano in the same locale. The muggers didn't do so well. One, all by himself, in D.C. tried to mug the World's Full Contact Karate World Champion back in 1978, and the bad guy ended up paralyzed for life. And there is the story of when some tough guys tried to take over a rural cafe without noting that former Pro Wrestling World Champion Buddy Rodgers was having lunch there. Nearly the identical thing also happened to Lou Thesz. Both men were senior citizens at the time, but the thugs didn't feel that way. <g> You know, I can see somebody attacking Pep or Graziano because they were little guys and you wouldn't know you were going to get your butt kicked. But what kind of brainiac attacks somebody the size of Jack Dempsey, no matter how old or rich looking?
