Well, I personally hope that AOL can test and find a bottom here, just so that I'd finally have some "good news" - and whether it does so on the reverse head and shoulders or does the Trader Vic 2B bottom by making a minor low on low volume, I don't care - I just want to finally "drag myself out of the dark alley and stumble home". If it doesn't hold, there's always that outstanding target on the broken triangle seen on the daily chart - but I already got beaten to death over that one a few weeks back... As for TA being real or not, I don't think it matters because so long as people divine "actionable" signals from it, it will be important. It reminds me of a question I asked my organic chemistry prof in second year - Me - "Sir, why do we need to memorize this 800 page textbook? What if it's a load of bunk? I mean, just because it can explain observable phenomenon we have encountered to date in the organic universe, it doesn't mean it's true." Scottish Prof - "Well, lassie, you are right. We only need to discover one instance that is reproducible that defies the rules in this textbook to invalidate the whole thing, but up until now, no one has done so." Me - "What if these are rules that seem to explain everything but it's just a bunch of theoretical constructs made by the human mind to explain observed phemonena? Just because the rules work to explain things now it could be a complete coincidence that they do and the real truth may be something else all together." Scottish Prof - "Lassie, if the theories in this book aren't the truth, then they are PARALLEL to the truth since they explain everything to date, so even if it's a load of bunk, they still explain the organic universe as we know it and you will have to memorize this textbook by next June." Perhaps TA is a parallel universe...

Steve As for the AOL-thought-police on this thread, they probably have too much of their money tied up in one stock and mistakenly think something said on this thread will influence trading in a stock that trades 20 million shares a day. Obviously, that's silly, but then aren't most thought-policemen. IntelSpec.Com is referring to me in her statement about the thought police. I saw her initial post on this thread and out of curiosity did a handle search on her. I was not surprised to see the same virtually identical post she made on this thread made on about 10, 20, or 30 others. This IMO is called SPAM. I filed a complaint with SI Bob with all the spam links included on a public forum. After some mixed reactions to the spam as whether or not posting the same link to many different message boards in a very short period of time met the spam test......SI Bob PM'd me that his determination was that IntelSpec.Com was not in violation. I then came back to this message board and reported this to IntelSpec.Com publicly and then invited her to continue her TA multiple message board postings. I meant this sincerely. She has apparently either been given some legal advise that she is adhering to or really has lost her zeal, I'm not sure which. IntelSpec.Com I invite you to post as I am not the thought police but I hate the hell out of spamming. You were judged by SI to not be in this category so from the guy that caused you grief from the start.........I whole heartily invite you to continue with your TA. Steve don't go stroking on me now!!!!!!!! I am just a face value guy. I do not have a personal agenda on SI. Unless you consider me answering questions an agenda. Vendit
