As you can see, the K7 (err.. Athlon) may get close in integer, but it won't get ANYWHERE near the PA-RISC in floating point. And I certainly wouldn't call this 'smoking the current top dog'..."

I think you will be surprised at the effects of large amounts of L2 cache on the FPU numbers as well as running the memory system at 266Mhz.

I am not saying it will blow away the top dog but IMHO it will get close.

Maybe it will take the Cu K7's to get there.

Lets wait and see.
